2 Months Old

Dear Davis,

You’re 2 months old today baby boy! Wow! I feel like I just had you yesterday. I can’t believe it’s already been 2 months. And yes, I’ll probably say this for the rest of your life. You’re growing up too fast already. We have had so much fun with you these past 2 months. You are such a sweet baby and you’re usually pretty content.

Some things about you…

You laughed for the first time the other night! It was the greatest sound I’ve ever heardI was giving you a bath and I think the water tickled your neck. We could only get you to do it twice.

You still have your umbilical cord! I keep joking that you’re going to have it when you’re in Kindergarten and you’ll show it for show & tell

We go to the doctor on Wednesday for your 2 month check up so hopefully the doctor can help you with that umbilical cord

You are a very chill baby. As long as you’re fed you’re pretty happy!

You’re wearing 0-3 months clothes now and size 1 diapers. No more newborn sizes! I guess I’ll put away your newborn clothes which honestly makes me sad

You love your activity mat and looking at yourself in the mirror

You’re not a huge fan of tummy time but we have to do it so you can be strong!

We haven’t weighed you in a while but my guess is you’re around 12-13 lbs. You’re a chunk!

You smile HUGE when you see us. Especically first thing in the morning. You’ll be fussing and the second you see us standing over you you’ll just get this huge grin on your face. It melts my heart.

You spit up all. the. time. It’s kind of turning into a problem. I’ll ask the doctor about it Wednesday. You don’t seem to mind though…but you’re covered in spit up.
